The Qualification Specialist position with Applied Marketing is an outbound, appointment scheduling position in a small office environment. You will make calls to executive contacts of companies around the country, to qualify leads and arrange conference calls or meetings for our clients. The majority of our clients are economic development organizations.
We are looking to add someone with an outgoing personality, a solid work history and strong written and verbal communication skills to our team.
Knowledge of economic development or a business office background is important. A background in selling a service may also be helpful. You should be comfortable making cold/warm calls and speaking with C-suite executives. Beyond outbound calls, duties include email outreach, collaborating with the team, generating interest, contact research, handling calls, and setting appointments.
Please note, this is not a sales position. Pay is NOT based on commission.
Job Duties:
Use researched data to call executives across the country.
Reach the right people and gauge their interest in speaking with or meeting our clients.
Document the results in our CRM system and characterize the lead as appropriate.
Use appropriate objection handling, where appropriate, to get the expected results.
Candidate:
Candidates must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (primarily Outlook and Word), and an internet browser.
Candidates must have outstanding writing and grammar skills.
A successful candidate will be dependable and able to collaborate with a small team, while also self-managing their time throughout the workday.
Be comfortable working on the phone for a majority of your workday, at a computer workstation, wearing a headset.
Have a professional demeanor and telephone presence.
